Teresa has volunteered to host QT in August. She is going to give a tutorial on the 15 minute table runner. You only need a few supplies. So while you are out looking for crafting supplies in July and early August be on the lookout for the cute fabric you want to use. You will need 1/3 yard of your focus fabric and 1/2 yard of a coordinating fabric. A couple decorative buttons that match (or don't match, I'm not the boss) are also a nice addition. Someone mentioned tassels, and those would be cute too. ;) I think that is all. Teresa can tell me if I missed something and I'll update.
Also, while you are fabric shopping, don't forget to be on the lookout for fabric to use in the I Spy Quilts that we will be making in a few months. It's a good time to start collecting. We should all have a few pieces to donate to the pile. Lets have lots so we can make lots of baby quilts to give away.

Ideas For Tutorials
Several people in our group are interested in learning new skills from some of the experienced quilters we are fortunate enough to have in our group. I know I'm one of them.
At the QT meeting last month we came up with a quick list of some things that people might be interested in learning or teaching. If you are interested in learning or teaching something that is on the list lets make a plan for the next months meeting. And if you can think of something not on the list send me a message and I'll add it. We don't have to do something new each meeting, but if we do something once a quarter or so there is enough time to do something neat with the new skill.
Applique,
Machine Applique,
Half Square Triangles,
Circles,
Rotary cutting techniques,
Quarter square triangles,
Binding (this is a biggie to me, I can't seem to get it right),
Measure to put on borders,
How to draft a block the old fashioned way,
Y seams,
Part seams,
And Vicki volunteers to give hula hoop lessons!
I finished the block that Stephanie taught a few months ago. I may put together something with blocks made from all the new things I've learned.
Is anyone interested in another mystery quilt? I have a couple that we could try (I haven't even looked at the final pictures. I love the surprise.). My goal for the rest of the year is to finish up the mystery quilt (I have to add borders still and quilt it of course), finish up the poster project, and finally quilt my row by row. Does anyone else have quilting goals for the year?
