Not to rub it in or anything..... but I figured out what I am going to do for my pin cushion!!! I am so excited. Now if I can just figure out my fractured fat quarter.... hmmmm.
Also, for those of you who don't have any ideas yet, there is a website called TipNut (http://tipnut.com/22-free-pincushion-patterns/) that has 42 free pin cushion ideas. Some are really cute, some are really complicated, and some are a little lame. But it might spark your imagination!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

Snippits!

Does this give anyone any ideas??? Or guesses?
Quilt Therapy was a lot of fun! I am looking forward to the big reveal next month! I hope we are all able to find a date that works for everyone since we can't meet at Vickies house after all. I hope your furnace problem has a quick and easy (and cheap) solution, Vicki!
Everyone start working on your pin cushion!!
Have a great Thanksgiving.
Also, if you've forgotten what your fat quarter looked like to begin with... you can scroll down and see it here.

The October meeting was so much fun!! Thanks Liz, for hosting, and coming up with a project! The pumpkin men and ladies turned out so cute.
The fractured fat quarters are turning out so well. I have picked a favorite out of the bunch. I am sure everyone has. I am happy to say that every single quilt is amazing! (So I have been told.... I am only allowed to see 8 of the 9, but those 8 are incredible). In my own opinion, the first cut was the hardest. I always have trouble cutting a fresh, clean, piece of fabric. I enjoyed adding to the first pass. I LOVED adding to the second. The rule was to add a diaganol. I am sure it helped that I had my best friends fat quarter. I know her well and knew what colors she would enjoy. But I like to think that I would have had the same ease in cutting someone elses fat quarter. I am brewing up ideas for the one that I took home this month.
The good news is that we have 4 weeks until the next meeting to work on our fat quarter. The second Friday of the month falls as late as possible in November!

Message from Alaina
I received the package you sent. Thank you so much! Books, snacks and lotions...all a girl really needs :) I work with 1 other female tech and 2 female docs, so we sat in the break room and divided out the goodies. I really loved the pedicure supplies, my day off I sat in my room watching a movie and pampered myself with a face mask and pedicure. I do need you to explain the neck coolers, I will be able to use them and give them to my patients as well! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, I appreciate it so much!

For OUR Troops
The September meeting was a lot of fun! The food was great, the company excellent, and the scenery beautiful (Thanks Jean!). we made neat little scarves with cooling beads in them to send to our troops. Stephanies daughter is in Iraq and we are sending a care package for her and her fellow soldiers. Everyone brought some wonderful things to put in the packages, ranging from paperback books, girly lotions, and candy from home. I hope they all enjoy it.

Finished products!
We also traded Fractured Fat Quarters last night. We got to see all the fat quarters (but our own, of coarse) and they were all brilliant! I know mine was too, because I heard a lot of "oooing" and "aaahing". I have already cut into the one that I brought home. It wasn't as difficult this time. I am having a lot of fun with this.
I have already pulled out some red, white, and blue fabrics. Now I have to learn some star blocks!
